Rhinoplasty in Summer Time?

Healing period is exteremely easy for the patients after functional or aesthetical nose surgery.

there will be no nasal congestions. The post operative bruises are almost lost in 4 – 5 days and the swellings are
gone in 2 – 3 weeks period. Eventually the patients generally return to their normal life in the 8th or 9th day of
the operation, with all bruises completely past, stitches lost (since self dissolved stitches are used there will be
no stich removal), swellings almost gone such there will be no signs of the operation for the people around.

Along with the days are getting hotter there is a common question asked about “Whether is it suitible to have a
rhinoplasty in summer?”

Hot weather is not an obstacle for nose surgery. Rhinoplasty surgeries can be performed even in the extremely hot
weathers. Since the nasal skin becomes more vulnerable after the operation a sunscreen cream should be used for long
stays under the sun. It is prohibited to have sun tan under sun or in a tanning saloon for 2-3 months. Excessive
heat may slow down the healing of edema. However, this does not affect the aesthetic and functional results of the
aesthetic nose surgery.

As a summary; For those who live all the summer under the sun in the beaches it is not recommended to have a
rhinoplasty operation since it will not be easy to be protected from the sun all the time. But for people who live
in the cities most of the time, there is no inconvenience to have a rhinoplasty in summer time.
