Turkey is about to be a base of medical tourism in recent years

In recent years Turkey has become one of the main centers of international tourism. Turkey is about to be a base of medical tourism in recent years. As of today Turkey is hosting numerous visitors from North Africa, Middleeast and Gulf countries for all kinds of  medical treatment including cosmetic plastic surgery as well. Turkey has turned out to be a base country in aesthetic surgery. We observe it.

Prof. Dr. Nazım Çerkeş, who is the 2nd Vice President of International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and President of European Rhinoplasty Society, was the guest of the BloombergHT news. Prof Dr Cerkes mentioned that Turkey is one the world’s leading countries following US. which produce high quality science in the field of aesthetic and plastic surgery. France and Germany are among the other forthcoming countries following that success. Prof Dr Cerkes emphasized that Turkey is the second country just after U.S.,  in the field of published scientific journals. Eventually this contributes the success in the field of medical healthcare tourism. Turkey has spent many time to gain its deserved position in the world of aesthetic surgery. He said that thanks to the hard work of Turkish doctors in the field of plastic surgery for 10/15 years. Turkey has become an important country thanks to its plastic surgeons’ contribution by developing new techniques, performing high quality surgeries, publishing recognised scientific articles and eventually creating a positive medical economy in the  plastic surgery area.

Prof. Dr. Cerkes who has been performing live rhinoplasty (nose surgery) sessions for many years, told that the U.S. as the world capital of plastic surgery, is also one of the most popular country with Brazil as the second largest country in the world in terms of the plastic surgery. However it doesn’t mean that Brazil is better than Turkey on the plastic surgery. Prof Dr Cerkes has been giving lectures to Brazilian plastic surgeons about all type of rhinoplasty surgeries. Prof Dr Cerkes, emphasised that mostly plastic surgeons visit Turkey in the concept of plastic surgery congress to follow new techniques and developments.

Having chance to perform aesthetic operations on many different ethnic noses due to the reason that many ethnic groups living together in Anatolia becomes an advantage to improve the experience. Prof Dr Cerkes is one of the most well-known name in the Plastic Surgery literature; that’s because rhinoplasty surgery is one the most difficult operations among the others and all kind of rhinoplasty surgeries require the highest effort and one of the key point of successful rhinoplasty surgery is to think the design of patient’s natural looking for even after 2 years after the operation. On the other hand, Prof Dr Cerkes who has operated more than 5.000 (five thousand) rhinoplasty surgery, says that the most signifant thing is to love and adore to what you are doing as a job.
